Getting Here


There is sufficient deep water access that boaters may navigate from the Gulf directly to Everglades Isle via the Barron River.

From the Gulf of Mexico, enter Indian Key Pass at green marker #1 (25 degrees, 47.942' N / 081 degrees 28.059' W); follow the charted channel to Everglades City; controlling depth of the channel is a minimum of approximately 6 feet at MLW; the overhead cables which used to limit masts exceeding 65 feet in Everglades City are no longer there; just after passing the Rod & Gun Club take the channel to port of red marker #44; Caution - an inflowing tide will draw craft toward this marker, so give it a wide berth and maintain sufficient speed to counteract any such effort of the current; continue up the Barron River channel following the charted marks to green marker #55; 30 foot boat slips are located in the basin with widths up to 18 feet; the controlling depth of the basin is a minimum of approximately 5 feet at MLW; The marina staff monitors CH #16 VHF and our telephone is (239) 695-2600.
